Story:

Amalie, having been away from the big races since being in Dubai, was very eager to get her favourite filly back in the game. Juliet was ever the gentle, obedient angel but she still became restless when she wasn't worked. She was young and fit and was still giving other racers a run for their money and that was a streak and habit Amalie didn't want Juliet to break.

Travelling, as usual, was easy and uneventful, Juliet seemed to be perfectly fine so long as her needs were met as they, of course, always were. Amalie was pleased that Juliet didn't give them as much trouble as Epona would, instead of being grumpy and missish Juliet always lowered her eyes and followed where she was asked. It proved especially helpful when it came to the starting line. All around her horses where kicking up a storm, shaking their heads, pawing the ground, whinnying and neighing impatiently, yet Juliet remained as calm and steady as she ever had, unflinching in spite of the chaos flanking her. Unlike other youngsters she seemed to know not to waste her energy before the race event started.

The gates flew open and the palomino filly flared into life, tearing away from the gates and down the dirt track. She soon found her way to the middle of the pack, where see just seemed to prefer to be, running alongside the black filly Saint Laurent and keeping pace. Near the lead, as he always seemed, was FT Triton with Harley in the saddle, the older bay no stranger to races and keeping himself at the head of the pack. It was a familiar set up, Juliet in the middle, one of Fox Harber Farm's racers in the lead. Now, she hoped to see another familiar set up: Juliet gaining ground in the final stretch.

It a motar restarting, Juliet thundered ahead of the others again, the group fanning out away from the railing and all horses pushing towards the finish line. This was where Juliet tended to shine, the closing stretch was always where she overtook the ones that she'd been behind the whole race. All she had to do was maintain this tendency, keep her footing, gain speed, cross the finish line. Juliet may be docile but she was still a force to be reconned with on the track and every ending stretch reminded every other horse and jockey in the race of that one important fact. Now all she had to do was actually make it. Amalie could hear the sounds of hoofbeats thundering at her sides but she remained too focused on the finish line to see if they were ahead or behind her. With the deafening combination of hoofbeats and heavy breathing filling her ears, the one-track, fixated sight of the finish line through dirt and sand as her focus, the Passed the finish line, but in what place?
